To Jesse's Page

Jesse was born on the 23rd September, 1996 at 8.47pm.  After being 2 1/2 weeks overdue and with 2 days of Inducing with no contractions (yes, thats right no contractions, no labour), he was finally delivered by Caesarean Section.

What a moment that was, our first child.  I was so excited and John was just overwhelmed, expecting to go through a normal labour session then just having to sit there beside me watching the whole op and not having to do much but talk to me through the operation.

Jesse was born weighing 3470 grams (7lb 10oz), his length was 50cm and his head circum was 36cm.  Here are some pics of Jesse pre and post op.  Remember these photos have been thumbnailed for quicker loading so if you would like to see them properly just click on each photo.

As you can see the first photo shows that I did not have much long to go (well so we thought).   With the next photo, this was me with my one and only contraction,  I told John to take a photo of it thinking that this was one of many to come (NOT!).  Now, doesn't John look handsome in his lovely white suit ready for surgery?   In the last photo, finally, the new arrival Jesse with mum, what an expression on his face!!
